The Kia Sportage is a compact crossover SUV (compact SUV until 2004) built by the South Korean manufacturer Kia since 1993.
The third generation KIA Sportage small SUV premiered at the 2010 New York International Auto Show with a completely redesigned exterior and interior look.The new car, which KIA refers as a CUV (compact utility vehicle) has more fluid lines, and comes with a more refined interior.
The new Sportage features a redesigned dashboard and center console and can be purchased with intriguing premium-class options like a sliding panoramic sunroof. In terms of technology the South Korean automaker introduces its new GDI (gasoline direct injection) engine for improved fuel consumption and increased power. Available in front- or all-wheel drive, the vehicle also comes with an all-new multi-link rear suspension design and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Brake Control (DBC) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) systems as standard.
